Goose Barnacle

Tucked away in Brooklyn Heights, David Alperin opened his shop, Goose Barnacle, with the hope of creating a sanctuary for retail and art. The 700 square foot space is open, refreshing and minimally designed, all in an effort to keep the floor open for biannual art openings and new garment showcases.

Inside the store itself, even the architecture is minimal, with only a telephone booth as a token from The Long Island Bar, a keepsake from Alerpin’s grandmother. Including famed menswear brands like Taylor Supply, Fred Perry, Crate, Strong Boalt, Naked and Famous, Wigwam, Svensson and Sebago, Alperin also carries a line of jewelry designed by his sister, Melissa Alperin.

Open Tuesday through Sunday from 12 until 8 pm, Goose Barnacle is the Brooklyn-based mecca for men looking to shop in style and simplicity.
