Bernardi’s

Opened in Marylebone in late 2015, Bernardi’s restaurant encapsulates so much of what Londonites love about Italian dining. Inspired by the Melbourne Italian scene of the ‘90s and ‘00s, Bernardi’s excels at service with a modern flare — a terrace full of olive trees, shiny Gaggia, and marble bar — that runs parallel to its classic take on dinner service.

Born from an idea shared between two brothers, Gabriel and Marcello Bernardi of Melbourne, Bernardi’s is helmed by chef Sabrina Gidda (a two-time Roux Scholarship finalist), who seamlessly merges together classical French technique with classic Italian artistry. On its list of stand-out favorites, the Rich Crab Tagliatelle; a Slow-Cooked Pork Shoulder served with lemon-scented Fregola served in a reduction; a trio of Market-fish crudo; Flank Steak served with Radicchio di Treviso and salsa verde; and an Abuergine, caprino, chilli, and wild garlic pizzette, among others.

Designed to reflect casual, modern Italian sophistication, Bernardi’s ground-floor restaurant boasts an all-day cicheti kitchen and dining bar, comfortable leather seating and sleek dark wood dining tables. Serving breakfast and dinner daily, reservations for Bernardi’s can be made via email.
