For the past few years, Audi has kept its all-electric version of the R8 under lock and key. Now, the automobile giants have officially debuted their latest invention, the e-tron.

A combination of everything car aficionados love about the R8 and the Tesla, the e-tron weighs in at 4,000 pounds, just a bit heavier than the stock R8. It comes with a 376 horsepower and runs 0-to-60 miles per hour in 4.2 seconds.

For those feeling the need for speed, the fun doesn’t stop after you hit 60 mph; Audi has made it possible for drivers to reach up to 280 miles on a single charge without damaging the engine.

The catch? You’ve to ask for the car in order to get one. Manufacturers are only making enough to fit the demand of the ride. So don’t expect to see it pop up at your local dealership.
