Audi’s Prologue Concept

Nothing sets the stage for the future of car manufacturing quite like Audi’s incredible new Prologue Concept. Audi’s latest addition tells the story of the future – and what a beautiful future it’s shaping up to be.

Uncrate notes that the coupe features a “striking masculine design dominated at the front by an oversized grille” and “flat laser projection headlights. It’s powered by a 4.0 TFSI V8 engine producing 605hp, good for a 0-62 time of 3.7 seconds.” Additional features include the touch-screen instrument panel, an OLED display, quattro all-wheel drive and spacious, comfortable interior. Most of these elements will be incorporated into the next generation of Audi’s large cars, starting with the new 2017 Audi A8 sedan, followed by the midsize A6 and A7. Audi is also expected to build a coupe based on the Prologue concept which will probably be the first car to bear the A9 name. Hand-built over seven weeks, the prototype cost Audi between $4 and $6 million to build.
