2016 US Open Tennis Championships

Held over a two-week period at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Flushing, Queens, the US Open Tennis Championships include three different events: men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. The tournament, which spans two weeks from August 29 through September 11, features some of the most buzzed-about names in the tennis world: Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Novak Djokovic, Madison Keys, Angelique Kerber, Andy Murray, and Rafael Nadal.

At the conclusion of the opening day of the event, Nadal secured his first Grand Slam victory over Denis Istomin. He’ll face off against Andreas Seppi from Italy in the second round of the tournament later in the week. And Kyle Edmund, from Great Britain, sent home Richard Gasquet after Gasquet lost 6-2, 6-2, 6-3. Novak Djokovic beat out Poland’s Jerzy Janowicz.

Though the tournament has already begun, tickets are still for sale through the US Open site, and can be purchased for events.
