W Hotel Bank

The W Hotel Bank, housed in the former Kas Bank building, immediately jumped to the forefront of one of Amsterdam’s most exciting places to spend the night. The building, which was originally designed in 1908, once boasted vaults on both the ground floor and in the basement, a huge open hall on the first floor, and dozens of offices above; thanks to Office Winhov, the W Hotel Bank, Uncrate.com noted, underwent a modern, contemporary makeover, metamorphosing its outdated design to now feature a restaurant in place of the grand hall, 238 guest rooms and suites in place of the reserved office space, and two luxury spas where its ground floor and basement vaults once stood.

The 238 guest rooms at the hotel, 23 of which are suites, are outfitted with vibrant decor, luxe amenities, and state-of-the-art technology so that guests can revel in every inch of their stay. Pops of color act as confetti throughout the contemporary design of each guest room and suite, and well-placed, intentional accent pieces bookend the modernity of the space. A snack collection from the W MixBar, Bliss sink-side bath amenities, signature W beds and pillows, high-speed internet, flat-screen televisions, and option pet beds

Five bar and dining options know the W Hotel Bank as home: The Butcher, which serves a creative take on “fast food” that’s adored throughout the entire city; The Duchess, which features a brilliantly-curated Mediterranean-inspired menu ripe with fresh, light fare; Mr. Porter, a chic, upscale steakhouse; the W Lounge, the hotel’s in-house nightlife space; and the X Bar, which serves spa-style to-go options to guests.

The W Hotel is just steps away from the acclaimed Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum, and uniquely situated nearby the city’s 165 canals, including the UNESCO-listed canal belt in the city center.Bookings for the W Hotel Bank can be made online.
