This West Village gem has redefined bar food, serving up delectable creations under the direction of chef April Bloomfield. While the burgers are the star of the show, and arguably the best in the world, save room because there’s much to savor — including tasty deviled eggs, chicken liver toast, and a divine dumpling dish called gnudi. To wash it down, you’ll find a rotating beer selection, extensive wine list and well done cocktails. The outstanding offerings are enhanced by a casual and quirky decor, and a staff that’s as cheerful and accommodating as one will find in the city.
