The Providores

Peter Gordon’s new split-level eatery, The Providores and Tapas Room features both lunch and dinner parings all served with the most expansive and impressive offering of New Zealand wines served in Europe. On the ground floor, the Tapas Room, is an all-day restaurant café and wine bar while upstairs, on the first floor, The Providores is a contemporary eatery served in a comfortable, informal dining room.

At The Providores, Monday through Sunday a starter-sized tasting menu is offered. Guests are encouraged to choose as many courses as they wish, matching food with wines of their choosing as well. The lunch menu features a Spiced dahl stuffed tempura inari pocket, aubergine, spinach, yellowbean ginger dressing, marinated beef fillet, warm chard, courgette and beetroot salad, garlic dressing, pesto, kalamata olives and Pan-fried Scottish scallops, celeriac purée, fennel, apple, and radish salad, yuzu, manuka honey dressing, crispy shallots, just to name a few. Dinner favorites include: Twice-cooked sweet and sour Dingley Dell pork belly, garam masala spiced butternut filled dosa, spinach, curry leaves, black vinegar, Roasted, smoked Somerset lamb loin, minted peas, baby vegetables, pomegranate yoghurt, Salad of freekeh, goats’ curd, endive, hazelnuts, grilled aubergine and spring onions, pickled raisin purée, roast tomato miso dressing.

They’re open seven days a week, Monday through Friday for lunch from 12 until 2:45 pm and for dinner from 6 to 10:30 pm. On Saturdays, The Providores is open for brunch from 10 am until 3 pm and again for dinner from 6 until 10:15 pm. Brunch on Sundays is served from 10 until 3 pm and for dinner from 6 until 10 pm.
