The Arts Club
Founded in 1863 in order to provide men who had a professional or personal relationship with Arts, Literature and Sciences a speakeasy for discovery and conversation, The Arts Club in Mayfair has become a modern institution of contemporary culture. Its exclusive membership list includes such famous names as Charles Dickens, Thomas Hughes and Charles Halle, to name a favorable few.
Currently, the members only club includes such areas of interest as art, fashion, film, literature, architecture, music, photography, science, performance, TV, media and theatre. And the Club’s art collection highlights international trends and British-based artists, all brought in at the direction of Amelie von Wedel.
