SushiSamba, London
In deciding upon their first venture outside of the five US locations, London made for a natural choice. Like their previous efforts, the London outpost of SushiSamba has made an instant impression. The Japanese-Brazilian-Peruvian fusion kitchen is headed up by Jeff Kipp, an executive chef with an extensive track record. As Malika Dalamal points out in her Zagat review, Kipp has skillfully incorporated his own culinary inspiration on the menu, without betraying the spirit of SushiSamba and many of the favorites well known to the patrons of the US restaurants. The food and drink alone are worth a trip out for a good time, but with one of the most impressive vantage points in all of London, SushiSamba has become a destination. Positioned on the top floors of the Heron Tower, you have commanding views of the entire city from their two terraces. Take your time and enjoy, both the view from within and far beyond.
