At the Soho Kitchen & Bar (previously Soho Diner), guests operate on a first come, first serve basics because in traditional diner style, there are no reservations. The food is renown (and the service a legend), so famished eaters wait in droves for a table, a plate, a menu and a meal.
Located on Old Compton Street, it’s the sister site of the Electric Diner in West London, the bar and diner opens on weekdays at noon and serves an all-day menu that’s worth bragging about. The Soho Bar and Diner serves up simple French-America eats like the Philly cheese steak sandwich, honey fried chicken, Eggs Benedict, a Full English and a double cheeseburger with all the fixins’.
Centrally located in the Soho neighborhood, it’s the only place where you can drink fresh-made cocktails on tap like a strong Old Fashioned, Martini Royale, an ample selection of American beers and the Pickleback without the weighty price tag.
On Thursdays, a late night DJ takes the stage while diners throw back classic cocktails like the Pornstar Martini and the Espresso Martini. And at the end of the night, you’ll find yourself thinking it’s the kind of place you’ll make trips back to town for.
