Smokehouse, London

With foods delivered fresh from local markets (the fish from Cornish markets and the beef from nearby Abbots Close Farm and fruits and vegetables from Keveral Farm), the Smokehouse in London has only four simple rules for success: Use fresh ingredients, serve only quality guests, buy locally and work only with people as passionate and devoted as they are.

The London eatery is known for their quality grills, roasts and barbeques sourced from pure English oak. A la carte favorites include the Lobster Frittata, Crab on Toast, a Highland Sirloin for Two, Shortrib Bourguignon and tempting sides like Korean Pulled Pork and Lamb Stovies.

Also featuring a specialty Sunday Menu and Saturday Brunch, the Smokehouse menu includes mouthwatering, delicious, fire-roasted offerings, paired beautifully against the restaurant’s Wine and Beer list.

A 60-person dining room keeps the restaurant feeling intimate and comfortable, without being overwhelming and cramped. Bigger parties (of eight or more) are offered a feasting menu and reservations are encouraged – and can be made through the locale’s website.

The kitchen at Smokehouse is open Monday through Friday from 6 until 10pm, on Saturdays from 11am until 4pm and again from 6 until 10pm and on Sundays and Bank Holidays from midday until 9pm. Hours at the bar differ slightly from the kitchen’s menu: Monday through Wednesday from 5 until 11pm, on Thursdays and Fridays from 5pm until midnight, on Saturdays from 11am until midnight and on Sundays and Bank Holidays from midday until 10:30pm.
