Shangri-La at The Shard
Created by developer and joint owner Irvine Sellar, The Shard was built to encompass an “architecturally striking vertical city incorporating retail, offices, hotel, apartments, restaurants and a public viewing gallery.” The visionary building was officially completed in July 2012, bringing an immaculate dream completely to life. Inside, the Shangri-La Shard the building’s exquisite hotel – features matchless views of the stunning London Bridge quarter.
The hotel features 202 rooms and suites, all styled with a sense of Oriental elegance and offering stunning floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the beloved city below. The hotel offers 185 guestrooms in four different categories: The Superior Shard Room, The Deluxe City View Room, The Iconic City View Room and The Premier City View Room. Seventeen Signature Suites are also available in five different categories: The Premier Shard Suite, the Iconic Shard Suite, the Westminster Suite, the London Suite and the Shangri-La Suite.
Because of its location within The Shard building, guests at the Shangri-La Shard are treated to round-the-clock events and services. Restaurants include the Tīng, Làng, and Gông, serving distinctive modern European fare with Asian influence, an artisan deli serving signature cakes, chocolates and pastries, and a destination cocktail and champagne bar seated on the edge of London’s breathtaking skyline, respectively.
