Locanda Verde

The Tribeca trattoria has been delighted gusts with their seasonal, urban Italian menu since they first opened in 2009. Behind the talent of Andrew Carmellini, there is rarely a thing the Italian-inspired Locanda Verde taverna does wrong. His menu is bursting with flavor and personality, with dishes like the Blue Crab with Jalapeno and Tomato, Brandade House Cured Cod and Whipped Potato With Carta Di Musica, Prosciutto Wrapped Trout With Chanterelles, Confit Potato and Mustard, a Slow-Cooked Salmon With Red Onion Agrodolce, Watercress and Farro Verde and a Squid Ink Linguini with Manila Clams, Soppressata, Garlic and Shishitos.

While the restaurant encourages guests to “come as they are,” the décor at Locanda tells a different story. You should come ready to eat, ready to treat your palate to an entourage of flavors, ready to “ooh” and “aah” every dish that passes by. Kierin Baldwin is responsible for after-dinner delights including the beloved Lemon Tart, Almond Torta and the La Fantasia del Monte Bianco for Two (or One).

A fully-stocked wine cellar promises you’ll never have to go without your favorite red, wine or after-dinner cordial. Reservations can be made (and are encouraged) here.
