Hôtel Americano

The boutique, cozy hotel tucked away on West 27th street in Chelsea has made quite a splash since it first opened, and has been drawing crowds for its service and its spirits ever since. Hôtel Americano, housed in a former parking garage emits a cool industry New York vibe with a Latin, colorful soul. The 56-room hotel boasts an outdoor rooftop pool that doubles as a hot tub in the winter, iPads in every room, Mexican features, and on-hand bicycles to explore Hudson River Park and the High Line.

Guests are enamored by the clever design of the hotel, with intimate rooms designed and decorated to maximize space and comfort without overlooking exciting textural touches. Designed by Mexican architect Enrique Norten, the principal of Ten Arqitectos and the first recipient of the Miles van der Rode Award for Latin American Architecture, Hôtel Americano was brought to life by understated splashes of color and thoughtful, modern flair.

The Americano, the hotel’s namesake restaurant, offers patrons French cuisine infused with Latin inspiration; The Grill at La Piscine, a Mediterranean grill that features sweeping views of the New York City skyline; Bar Americano, a private dining and cocktail space with its own private entrance; and El Privado, a private lounge hidden swiftly beneath the streets above.
