EDITION Hotel

New York’s Flatiron neighborhood is becoming more and more the city’s booming mini metropolis – and the New York leg of the Edition Hotel sits right in the thick of it all. Located on 5 Madison Avenue and just steps away from Madison Square Park, the 273-room hotel boasts comfort, style, and exceptional service smack in the middle on NYC’s ever-expanding start-up neighborhood. Originally built in 1909 as the headquarters for The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, the Edition Hotel offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the Manhattan skyline.

Edition’s rooms feature oak flooring and dark oak wood-paneled foyers. Soft, neutral fixtures and bedding fill the space, with modern furniture to give each room a unique, intimate, fresh feel. Oversize windows frame the stunning city and skyline views below, with ample light from morning to evening. In total, there are nine room and suite offerings to choose from, the former including the Guest, Superior, Deluxe, Studio, and Loft; while the latter boasts the Loft Suite, the Madison Suite, the Park Suite, and the Penthouse Suite.

The hotel’s Gold Bar is open from midmorning through midnight and exclusively serves post-dinner cocktails beneath a three-foot fiber glass globe chandelier suspended over an intimate horseshoe-shaped bar made on 24k gold leaf. The Lobby Bar serves breakfast, lunch, and light dinner fare alongside the hotel’s signature cocktails – the EDITION Owl and the “High Tea” – all set to the backdrop of gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows. The Clocktower is the hotel’s sole restaurant, helmed by Executive Chef Jason Atherton, serving contemporary and classic British fare.
