Auberge du Soleil

Napa’s Auberge du Soleil is not just one of the finest hotels in wine country, it’s one of the top small resorts in the United States, where everything from the rooms to the food have earned a five-star rating.

Located in Rutherford, Auberge du Soleil is just minutes from St. Helena, Napa’s bustling shopping and dining destination. Auberge is surrounded by top wineries like Quintessa and Phelps but most guests prefer not to even leave the property — and it’s easy to understand why — among its many charms is a self-guided sculpture garden, tennis and fitness center, a pool, and an intimate spa.

For many, the name Auberge du Soleil is just as famous for the delectable cuisine as it is for the resort amenities. The on-site restaurant, founded by visionary restaurateur Claude Rouas more than 35 years ago, was one of Napa’s first fine-dining restaurants, and hasn’t lost any of the prestige since. Current Executive Chef Robert Curry showcases the freshest, seasonal ingredients, sourced locally, to provide a dynamic and delicious offering such as Japanese Wagu, veal sweetbreads, local lamb, and seafood. All of which are of course complimented by one of most extensive wine cellars in the valley, boasting more than 15,000 bottles of domestic as well as international offerings.

Prices start at $850 per night and include a complimentary breakfast.
