ABC Kitchen

The Union Square neighborhood might be full of home fed restaurants and quick, cheap eats, but ABC Kitchen is redefining the narrative for the alive-and-thriving New York City Square. The restaurant, led by Michelin star Chef Jean-George Vongerichten, is focused on serving guests a fresh, seasonal menu loaded with locally sourced products. The farm-to-table menu is free from insecticides, hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, and synthetic fertilizers, serves only GMO-free dishes, and sources its ingredients from fair trade co-ops and regional farmers.

Seated just atop ABC Home, the restaurant features a full weekend brunch menu, a daily lunch, dinner, and dessert menu, as well as a cocktail menu and wine list. Favorites include the Mushroom Toast, served with pecorino, lemon and herbs, Kasha and Bowtie pasta served with veal meatballs, Sauteed Skuna Bay Salmon served with sweet and spicy carrot sauce, roasted carrots and basil, a Wood Oven Roasted Maine Lobster with an oregano and lemon-chili vinaigrette, and a Crispy Pork Confit with smoked bacon marmalade and braised turnips.

ABC Kitchen is open on weekends for brunch for 11am until 3pm; for lunch Monday through Friday from noon until 3pm; and for dinner Monday through Wednesday 5:30pm until 10:30pm, on Thursdays for 5:30pm until 11pm, on Friday and Saturday from 5:30pm until 11:30pm and on Sundays from 5:30pm until 10pm.
