The World’s Most Profitable Watch Auction

The Only Watch auction, taking place in September, will feature some of the horological heavyweights from leading brands like Bell & Ross, Hublot, Piaget and Zenith. The lot set for auction includes one-off designs like Patek Philippe’s 5004 split-seconds perpetual calendar and Backes & Strauss’s diamond-studded floral design, as well as Christopher Claret’s quirky pinball-inspired X-TREM-1 timepiece.

Held every two years since their 2005 launch during the Monaco Yacht Show, the auction has become a world-renowned charitable fundraiser for research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy totaled 5,066,000 EUR. It’s become the most successful benefit event organized by the Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies (AMM) to date. Taking place at the Hotel Hermitage Monte Carlo, the charitable auction will be hosted by the president of AMM, Luc Pettavino and will feature more than 300 guests, including online bidders, telephone bidders, watch manufacturers, CEOs, collectors and philanthropists and HSH Price Albert II of Monaco.

All proceeds from the auction will immediately go toward supporting research into Ducheenne muscular dystrophy, a neuromuscular disease affecting 250,000 children worldwide.
