The One-Bedroom Studio That Doubles as an Eight-Bedroom Apartment

New York-based entrepreneur Graham Hill found an unbelievable way to pack eight rooms into a small, 420-square foot space in Soho, New York. At the backbone of Hill’s novel creation is the idea is that an apartment can, and should, be anything – and everything – you need it to be with the flick of a few cabinets.

In an interview with Gizmodo.com, Hill explains, “The living room and office become the bedroom with a tug of a bookshelf. Open one of the closets and you’ll find 10 stackable chairs that go around a telescopic dining table for large dinner parties. An entire guest room with bunk-beds and a closet is revealed behind a wall that slides out on tracks. And of course, a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom await.”

Hill provides a detailed tour of the space in the video above as well as an in-depth walkthrough of the gadgets and design elements that make the unheard of space possible.
