The Knickerbocker 2.0

The midtown-based Knickerbocker hotel is set to reopen in February 2015 as a “haven of refined elegance” amongst the New York City hotel scene. First created as a monument in 1906, the hotel was reimagined as an urban sanctuary just steps from the buzzing city center: Broadway, Central Park and Fifth Avenue.

According to the hotel’s press release, the 330 guest rooms and 40 suites are decked head to toe with a stylish, contemporary and customized layout accented with bespoke furnishings. An artisanal café, signature restaurant and a hand-carved Frappuccino marble bar – all helmed by Charlie Palmer – make the Knickerbocker not just a sophisticated hotel but also a culinary delight. Another perk? A 7,500 square-foot rooftop bar and terrace overlooking Times Square.

The hotel promises that the Knickerbocker will be responsible for restoring the Golden Age of New York City’s jazz era – and they’ve got the locale to make it happen.
