Whalegaming.com take on Europe’s Contenders

After taking defeat in 2016, the European team is on their heels to bring the Ryder Cup back into their hands. It has been 25 years since the last time Europe has lost on their own soil, and with the American team having three of the top players in the world, the stage is set for an intense competition. Europe’s captain, Thomas Bjorn is set to lead Europe to victory along with notables including, Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, Francesco Molinari, Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, and Jon Rahm. The captain’s picks include Sergio Garcia, Paul Casey, Ian Poulter, and Henrik Stenson. One European member to highlight is Jon Rahm, the 23-year-old Spaniard already has a win under his belt for 2018 and has looked more and more impressive throughout the summer leading into Paris. Also note Italian Francesco Molinari, the only member of the European team to win a major championship this year at the Open Championship, along with a victory at the Quicken Loans National. Justin Rose is always one to bring up during the spotlight. Rose fell just short of the BMW Championship not too long ago and his play is up to championship tier, now the question is whether or not it can remain in Paris.

Whalegaming.com take on America’s Team

This American team is sought out to be one of the strongest in a very long time. The American Captain, Jim Furyk, has an extreme amount of talent behind him heading to Paris. The American side includes Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed, Webb Simpson, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, and Bubba Watson. Captain’s picks include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Bryson DeChambeau. According to the PGA official world rankings, the American team has the top three players in the world, them being Johnson, Koepka, and Thomas. Although, rankings 4, 5, and 6 all belong to the European team. This team has had an incredible season thus far, players winning a combined 15 PGA tournaments in the last year. One player to watch is Bryson DeChambeau, the 24-year-old has 3 wins in 2018 including the Northern Trust, Dell Technologies Championship, and the Memorial Tournament. With Tiger Woods joining the Ryder Cup team for the first time since 2010, it would be historic to see Woods perform well. Koepka certainly is also one to watch for, the Florida native has won the last two U.S. Open tournaments and captured his first PGA Championship back in August. It certainly would be fitting if Books Koepka performed well later this month.
