Tesla’s Model S P100D

Capable of reaching 0-60 in 2.5 seconds flat, the new Tesla Model S P100D is nowhere near like anything you’ve seen or heard or before. It’s the third fastest accelerating production car ever produced, according to Tesla’s site, behind both the LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 (which, it’s worth nothing, were both limited-run cars no longer available for purchase brand new). With four doors, seating up to five adults and two children, exceptional cargo space, and a 100 kWh battery for increased range, the Model S P100D is not only the first of its kind to go beyond 300 miles, it’s also the longest-range production electric vehicle on the market.

According to Tesla, the Model S was designed and engineered to be the safest car on the road with the highest ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The only other car like it is the Model X P100D, which also boasts the 100 kWh-battery life and accelerates to 60 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds and travels up to 289 miles on a single charge.

Pricing for the Model S P100D has not yet been made available, however, customers who’ve already ordered the P90D Ludicrous can upgrade to the 100 kWh pack for $10,000. Existing P90D Ludicrous owners can upgrade to the 100 kWh pack for $20,000.
