Perhaps you wouldn’t expect a short documentary, set in a barbershop in a small North Carolina town, to tell a particularly compelling story. At least that’s what we were thinking, when we sat down to watch Pickin’ & Trimmin’ by Matt Morris. In reality, the film does more than tell a good story — it’s an extraordinary glimpse into the power of music and the importance of fellowship, as seen through the eyes of a few charming men.
