The ex-Grey’s Anatomy star and international speed racer listed his three-bedroom, three-bathroom corrugated metal-clad hideaway for a cool $14.5 million just weeks ago. The home, designed by Frank Gehry and which earned a cover spot on Architectural Digest in March of 2014, boasts custom-made flooring made with repurposed scaffolding, a private sculpture studio, and a concrete sink.

Earthy colors, textures, and fixtures are present throughout the home, and in the backyard, a romantic, vintage airstream sits robed in lush gardens and greenery.

In Dempsey’s Architectural Digest interview, he describes the allure of the three-acre, peaceful compound: “The exterior’s simplicity appealed to me, and the inside felt very expansive and calming. Everywhere you looked there is something visually pleasing.” Beyond the airstream, a pool, recycled-wood deck, custom fire pit, climbing wall, and an al fresco kitchen and pizza oven only add to the property’s appeal.
