Morgan’s Aero Coupe

Wallpaper promises stepping into Morgan’s London mews HQ is like being “transported back to simpler days – before car dealerships were anonymous glass boxes next to ring roads and before all cars looked as though they were shaped from a similar mould”

The Aero 8, a low two-seater unlike anything else on the road, leads the company’s current range. Created by Matt Humphries, Morgan’s former head of design, the 8 features all the lines and proportions of Morgan’s classic models but with a modern twist. Its headlights and front grille feature a bold, oval Art Deco-inspired design, while the rear lights boast a boomerang-like shape.

In 2007 the Aero 8’s original design was overhauled, reshaping and refining the car’s physique. Since the 2007 redesign, Morgan has seen the launch of the limited edition Aeromax coupe along with the Supersport and Coupe models. Following the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Jon Wells, the current head of design, the Aero 8 will receive its fourth overhaul.

Morgan’s London location, Wallpaper reports, is the perfect location from the gentleman’s carriage company, but only time will tell if it’s a brand with true staying power.
