London’s Best Brunches

The Bon Vivant Journal has assembled yet another of its Bests lists, though this time the food hinges on one universally beloved fare: brunch. The guide includes information on where to enjoy the most decadent meals, top-notch drinks, gluten-free options, and, of course, where to stop off for the best cup of coffee. Caravan, in Clerkenwell, kicks off the list, where the New Zealand-inspired dishes and drinks all have one thing in common: they’re phenomenal. Duck & Waffle also has a spot on the coveted list, not just because of its all-day menu and late-night menu, but also for its namesake dish, the Duck & Waffle: a confit duck with fried duck egg and mustard maple syrup.

In Mayfair, Cecconi’s Italian restaurant also made the list for being, as The Bon Vivant Journal notes, “a great way to break up a day’s shopping on nearby Bond Street.” Although Italian food is the universal meal of happiness, Cecconi’s Prosecco on tap is a well-timed touch. At The Providores and Tapa Room in Marylebone, their kiwi-inspired brunch, with greatest hits like the Turkish Eggs, is available on weekends in the Tapa Room. It wouldn’t be a brunch list without including the Riding House Café in Bermondsey. The all-day brasserie boasts dozens of small plates as well as main courses.
