London Fashion Week F/W 2017

Picking up right where New York Fashion Week stops off, the British leg of the “Big Four” fashion shows — London Fashion Week — will begin on February 17 and close out on the 21st in the heart of England’s most beloved cities. As it has it year’s past, the show will serve as a launching pad for some of the most revelatory and exciting Fall/Winter looks to come later in 2017. Topshop Unique will once again follow-up their runway show with the buy-it-now feature that worked so well for them in 2016. Caroline Rush, the Chief Executive on the British Fashion Council, said of the buy-it-now business model: “There is an increasingly big appetite from both brands and public to open up our industry to a wider audience. We saw this in September with the see-now-buy-now collections.”

The show’s opening weekend will feature designs from Mary Katrantzou, Christopher Kane, Burberry, Mulberry, J.W. Anderson, Simone Rocha, Ashley Williams, and ERDEM. London will also play a part in kickstarting the careers of up-and-coming designers Matty Bovan, Mimi Wade, Ta Asai, and Supriya Lele, all of whom will showcase lines at the event for the first time.

Though there will be shows taking place at venues throughout the city, London Fashion Week will be held, for the most part, at The Store Studios, 180 Strand, in the heart of the city.
