Le Palais Royal Heads For Sale

In Hillsboro Beach, just south of Boca Raton, Florida, a French-inspired, sprawling oasis is up for grabs. On sale for $159 million, Le Palais Royal took 10 years to come to life, but famed in-house designer Denio Madera and real-estate designer and developer Joseph Leone completed the building in 2016. The home sits on a modest 4.4 acres, and touches 465 on the ocean and 492 feet on Intracoastal, boasting two working docks. Though the outside is absolutely decadent, it’s the extravagance of the home itself that have everyone interested.

The home sits behind a 13-foot wrought-iron gate, but when you walk inside Le Chateau de Versailles, as the main property has been dubbed, a $2 million grand staircase and a 120-year-old chandelier from Austria greet you. Scattered throughout the home, the original developers included over $3 million in 22-karat gold leaf touches, as well as Corinthian marble columns, and custom mahogany cabinetry. It also boasts the first-ever IMAX home theater, a go-kart truck, casino, bowling alley, a 26-foot fountain, nightclub, and an ice skating rink. The château fits 11 bedrooms and 17 incredibly detailed bathrooms comfortably. One of the rooms, dubbed the Presidential Suite, comes complete with a private heated plunge pool on its balcony. A wine cellar offers room for more than 3,000 bottles at any one time and in addition to the plunge pool in the Presidential Suite, the home also features a 4,500-square-foot custom-built infinity pool with a double-loop slide and LED lighting.

Two guesthouses sit adjacent to the main property at about 3,000 square feet each. The Le Palais Royal’s expected completion is November of 2016. Inquiries on the property can be made through Sotheby’s.
