Ideapod, the newest online platform to join the social networking community, was designed to create a community bred for sharing and debating important ideas, interests and topics. The media company’s mantra is, at its simplest, to “amplify the ideas that shape our world, create genuine and enduring dialogue around ideas and spread ideas that matter through new and traditional media channels.”

Developed to mimic the popular site, Pinterest, the Ideapod display features a board filled with images and video, giving users up to 1,000 characters to use express opinions and emotions up for comment and debate. The topic-specific site also allows you to tag posts (much like Facebook and Pinterest) so that users with similar interests can easily find the topics that matter most to them.
