Cape Town’s Silver Bay House

Seated on the hills of Cape Town, the Silver Bay House, commissioned by SAOTA Architects features an indoor-outdoor living space with the seascape at the fulcrum of its design. The hill – which would later serve as the namesake of the house built atop it – was built with beautiful attention to detail. For instance, the bottom level features private areas while the dining room, kitchen, and living room all feature panoramic views of the ocean beyond.

The Coolist notes the 4,500-square-foot space features completely transparent, full-size glass walls on the upper levels that open and close at will. The full-size glass doors fold into themselves to offer a bulk-free view of the stunning sea below. Bringing the patio and pool indoors is as much an option at the Silver Bay House as its ever been.
