When the highbrow brand debuted their first foray into hybrid propulsion it was to the shock and surprise of few. The Bentley Hybrid Concept was the talk of Beijing’s auto show to show that hybrid technology can enhance even the most high-end luxury automobiles. Accentuating the brand’s most talked about features, like the radiator shell, exterior lines and trademarked headlamps is the all-new hybrid plug-in motor.

But the hybrid car isn’t the only vehicle Bentley is planning to use its plug in motor on. They also released plans to use it on the Bentley SUV, which isn’t scheduled to hit roadways until sometime in 2017. By the end of the decade, Bentley plans to incorporate hybrid power trains into at least 90 percent of their production models.
