When you think international film festival, Cannes is immediately top of mind. As luxurious as it comes, with the French Riviera as the backdrop, the Cannes Film Festival promises great screenings and gatherings loaded with A-listers. Following on the success of last year’s Palme d’Or winner, this year’s recipient will likely be in line for similar critical acclaim and award season recognition. The 11-day long festival — held from May 11 to May 22 — released its official 2016 lineup early last month, and a detailed list of the festivals’ films in competition can be found here.
